2008年获得美国佛罗里达大西洋大学计算机科学博士学位，其导师是吴杰教授；
2003年和2000年分别获得复旦大学和同济大学的计算机硕士和学士学位。
曾在美国领先的云计算基础架构软件解决方案龙头企业Citrix软件公司担任高级工程师；
2009年3月加入中南大学计算机系，同年9月被评为副教授。
本科课程：物联网编程、Java、Web技术、移动应用开发；
研究生课程：移动智能终端感知、计算机网络、操作系统。
通过与中科院深圳先进技术研究院的合作，也参与了一些有实际应用前景的科研项目，包括基于出租车上的车载传感器网络、基于视频监控和GIS的智能交通系统、移动互联网、泛群感知和智慧城市。主持的包括国家自然科学基金青年项目在内科研项目经费达90余万元，并参与了一项国家高科技863重点项目（智慧城市一期）和一项深圳市公共科技课题的横向课题。
